City of St. Augustine Beach Public Notice

Oceanside Circle Drainage & Pavement Improvements

Updated: 05/14/2026

Tentative surveying to begin week of 05/18. The City held a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. See below attached 30% plans, overall site plan, and meeting agenda.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The City of St Augustine Beach has proposed drainage improvements and upgrading the substandard pavement in an effort to mitigate isolated stormwater ponding as Oceanside Circle currently has no stormwater drainage system. The roadway is a dead-end double chip seal surface with shell/dirt base connected to Versaggi Drive in St. Augustine Beach. The chip seal surface on Oceanside Circle has reached the end of its expected useful life and has begun to show significant base failure and potholes. Prior to roadway reconstruction,  a gravity or pumped drainage system compatible with existing utilities will be constructed and will likely consist of adding approximately five (5) stormwater Inlets and 800 Iinear feet of 15-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) to reduce the localized flooding. The proposed Oceanside Circle floodwater mitigation system will flow to the existing Linda Mar stormwater pump station, which will also see upgrades during the course of this project.
