City of St. Augustine Beach Vulnerability Assessment Update 2023

SCOPE OF WORK

 

The City recently was awarded grant funding to complete a city-wide vulnerability assessment through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Resilient Florida Grant Program. The City has requested Jones Edmunds assistance with completing this. The primary goals of the assessment are to identify critical City assets that are vulnerable to flooding under existing and projected future conditions and begin identifying adaptation projects/strategies that the City could implement to protect its critical assets.

 

CURRENT PROJECT PHASE: Pre-Design

 

Grant awarded; kick-off meeting with Jones Edmunds was held on December 8, 2023 (see agenda and minutes below).

Jones Edmunds is currently in the "Data Acquisition" phase of this project.

 

PROJECT FUNDING:

 

This project phase is currently being funded by FDEP with Federal Government funds by way of a $50,000 grant.
