SCOPE OF WORK

 

This project, also known as the "St. Augustine Beach Hurricane Irma Recovery Project", is a grant funded dune planting project to replace sea oats lost due to heavy erosion during and post Hurricane Irma. This project is also in coordination with the current beach re-nourishment project.

 

CURRENT PROJECT PHASE: Planning

 

Planting has been rescheduled for Winter 2025 - Spring 2026 upon completion of the planned USACOE beach re-nourishment project and sea turtle nesting season. See Beach Re-Nourishment Project updates here.

 

PROJECT FUNDING:

 

Funding for this project will be by Florida Department of Environmental Protection matching-funds grant in the amount of $25,000.
