  • All active construction for this project is complete.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT – UPDATED 5/22/2023

April 4th, 2023

The City of St. Augustine Beach has contracted with D.B.Civil Construction Company to add new curb and gutter as well as milling and resurfacing the 100 block of 2nd Street, west of  A1A Beach Boulevard. The Contractor is currently scheduled to perform this work starting April 10th, 2023.  Owners/residents can expect to have LIMITED ACCESS TO THEIR DRIVEWAYS during construction. The estimated time for construction to be completed is the end of Summer 2023.

Owners/residents will receive two (2) parking passes per residence. Parking passes will be delivered to each resident late this week or early next week. If additional parking passes are needed the residents/owners are requested to contact the Public Works Department. The parking passes will enable owners/residents the ability to park overnight on 2nd Avenue located off of 1st Street, as well as any City owned parking lots. Additional information regarding construction schedules will be posted on the City’s website at www.staugbch.com

The tentative schedule for construction is:

  • April 10th – 21st         Prep Work                                                          Limited Access
  • TBD                                     Installation of Concrete Curb                         Limited or No Access
  • TBD                            Driveway Apron Placement                            Limited Access
  • TBD                            Back of Curb and Grading/Sod Work            Limited Access
  • TBD                            Asphalt                                                               Limited or No Access
