Dylan Rumrell, Vice Mayor Appointed to Serve on Florida League of Cities Legislative Policy Committee

St. Augustine Beach, FL – September 1, 2023 - The Florida League of Cities, the united voice for Florida’s municipal governments, announced that St. Augustine Beach Vice Mayor, Dylan Rumrell was recently appointed to serve on the Florida League of Cities 2023-2024 Land Use and Economic Development committee, one of the League’s five Legislative Policy Committees.

Legislative Policy Committee chairs, vice chairs and members were appointed by Florida League of Cities President Greg Ross, Mayor of Cooper City.

As a Legislative Policy Committee member, Rumrell will help develop the League’s Legislative Platform, which details priority issues that are most likely to affect daily municipal governance and local decision-making during the upcoming legislative session, as well as help League staff understand the real-world implications of proposed legislation. Committee members are also asked to serve as advocates for local decision-making throughout the legislative process.

Rumrell states “I’m thankful to be appointed by Florida league of cities, President Greg Ross. I’m excited for the opportunity to serve with my fellow elected throughout the state of Florida on such an important issue of land-use and economic development. With the explosion of growth that the state has seen over the last several years. It is imperative that our policy group make the right decisions to keep Florida moving in a positive direction both on the economic and land-use opportunities.”

Rumrell has served on the St. Augustine Beach City Commission since 2019 and currently serves as the Vice Mayor.
