City Approves Fiscal Year 2024 Budget
September 26, 2023 - St. Augustine Beach, FL. – At a special Budget meeting on September 25, the Commission unanimously approved the budget for the Fiscal Year 2024.
The Fiscal Year 2024 approved budget is a total of $12,775,663 and is distributed into the following categories:
Operating Expenditures $9,560,842
Capital Expenditures $2,781,129
Intragovernmental Expenditures $433,692
One of the main highlights from the budget was the Commission and staff collaborating to reduce the overall millage rate for the residents of the city. Finance Director, Patty Douylliez commented “City staff and commissioners worked tirelessly to put together a budget that will allow the city to continue to provide the current level of services to our residents and visitors, as well as reduce the overall millage from 2.95 Mills to 2.80 Mills during the upcoming fiscal year.”
