Garbage/Trash Collection
           

The collection schedule for the City will change effective April 3, 2006.  To verify your collection days, click here

Household Trash Pickups

 

Household garbage is picked up twice a week. For the pickup days of individual addresses, call the City Manager's office at 471-2122.  For changes to the regular collection days due to holidays, click here

 

Special Waste Pickups

 

Special wastes are picked up every Wednesday, except when a holiday falls on or near that day. Changes to the normal pickup schedule are printed in the quarterly Newsletter and on the meeting agendas.  To schedule a special waste pickup, you may call the City Manager's office at 471-2122 at any time during the week before the pickup. (The final deadline for scheduling a pickup is 4 PM Tuesday.) Please let us know the types of materials for pickup, as these wastes must be separated according to the landfill or other site to which they must be taken:

 

   Lawn/garden debris:  includes vegetative matter such as leaves,

            grass clippings, branches, etc. (limbs and branches must be no

            longer than 4 feet in length)

 

   Construction debris:  lumber, tile, drywall material, roofing, etc.

 

   Metal items: large items constructed primarily of metal; metal pieces;

            appliances, etc.

 

Other large items, such as furniture, boxes, etc. may be placed with household trash on normal pickup days.

  

PLEASE NOTE: Items which cannot be picked up include: hazardous wastes, tires and batteries.
