The personnel of the City of St. Augustine Beach
Police Department (SABPD) consist of three primary divisions.

The Line Services Division is the most visible of these divisions. Line services includes uniformed officers performing patrol and traffic enforcement duties. The primary responsibility of this division is responding to calls for service within the City of St. Augustine Beach, and the safety of it's citizens.

The Detective Division's primary responsibility is to respond to major crime scenes and to conduct follow-up investigations once the uniformed officer has conducted a preliminary investigation of a crime. The detective assigned to a case will develop and follow "leads" before the case is submitted to the State Attorney's Office for Disposition.

The Administrative Division includes the records, communications and operations sections of the Police Department. One of the primary responsibilities of the Administration is to include quality service to the City and it's citizens. Members of the administrative division include the Chief, Assistant Chief, and the smiling faces that great the public everyday at the Police Department.
