Of course, the first thing to look for at the beach is...THE BEACH!
This is a view from 3rd Street looking south. It is about a mile from this point to the end of the sandy portion of the beach. 3rd St. St. Augustine Beach
Quite a Workout! Some of the sand from the beach is used here, for beach volleyball. These courts are busy most of the time and there is lighting for night time play.
For those of us with more sedentary tastes, the playground is a great place to sit and watch someone else play. Playground

In 1979, Beach police officer Ron Parker was killed in the line of duty. In his honor, Ron Parker Park was developed. Probably the City's most versatile recreation area, the park has basketball and paddletennis courts, picnic tables a playground and a softball diamond. There is ample parking for the people who use the park which is adjacent to the St. Johns County Recreation Department and the County's life guard facilities.

Of course, shopping can be a major sport at St. Augustine Beach with many small shops and a large shopping center.

In the evening, there are several choices of fine restaurants for the discerning diner. For more information click here.
