Beach Renourishment

Current Project

The current beach renourishment project has begun. Marinex Construction, Inc. has been contracted by the USACE (Army Corps of Engineers) to perform beach renourishment on the project. The purpose of the project is to renourish the beach of St. Augustine Beach at St. Johns County, Florida. During the course of the project it will be necessary to operate heavy equipment in relatively close proximity to existing structures adjacent to the shoreline. Although there is no anticipation of damage to adjacent structures, Pre & Post-Construction Surveys and Seismic Monitoring will be conducted. CDB of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, an independent consultant has been retained to perform these services.

Marinex Construction, Inc. has requested the assistance of property owners and occupants with providing access to CDB, as needed, to effectively accomplish the surveying and monitoring work.
